Sigh ..........He's 13.
He's a growing boy, if he didn't dislike his mom about now I would be surprised. It's not your job to make him like you. In fact if he does then your doing something wrong!
Your job is to keep that child safe thus keeping him from all that perceived fun stuff that will kill, mame and or destroy his life. It's your job to keep him innocent for as long as possible. Keeping him from harms way, from drugs, alcohol and of course promiscuous ready available girls, girls and more girls.
Yes he will not like you as you remind him his homework was due three days ago the project never started that's due in an hour and a half ..
Yes he will think your nagging him everyday because you can't walk to his bed from his door because of the minefield he insists on is really his floor.
Sorry dear Windy, your once loving sweet child who would once hug you and pet your hair saying I love you to the moon and back has been replaced with a miniature manchild whom is shutting you out of this leg of his journey of self discovery.
It is your job to get him to the path of adulthood in one piece and hopefully with as little damage as possible all the while they will be hating you, disrespecting you and undermining your efforts.
Your child at 13 not liking you is just the warning bell that your on the right path.
Just remember just because we don't like someone, doesn't mean we don't love them.
